Bucky Works : Buckminster Fuller’s Ideas for Today [Paperback]

Posted on September 23, 2011

Jay Baldwin is the author of this book “Bucky Works” published in 1996.

Jay chose Buckminster Fuller own words in the Dedication as follows:

To make the world work

In the shortest possible time

Through spontaneous cooperation

Without ecological offense

Or the disadvantage of anyone.

Baldwin has a deep insight into the work of Bucky and went to great length in this book to present both sides of some of the key concepts and works of R. Buckminster Fuller.

Only from having stepped away from this work for a few years now do I get to appreciate what he has done in this critical presentation.

The most significant is under the heading “Was Bucky Right?”

I have bet my life on it and I know Bucky was right about Synergetic Coordination. But it is not easy to figure out or prove. What is there to prove after all everything is a special case scenario and every discipline needs its own methods and tools.

In the footsteps of Bucky I have been chasing this mirage, sometimes it is crystal clear other times faint and fleating.

This page contains a list of datasets that were selected for the projects for Data Mining and Exploration. Students can choose one of these datasets to work on, or can propose data of their own choice. At the bottom of this page, you will find some examples of datasets which we judged as inappropriate for the projects.
